It was intentional. In order to read and understand, the observer would be forced to take a closer look.

You need smarter friends. At least one or two that get subtext. Being surrounded by superficiality is no way to go through life

I wholeheartedly endorse that strategy. I follow a similar philosophy. Aside from being a loathsome, brimstone-hearted bastard, it’s worked out great for me.
