Right side up

Reflected glass in the upside down lake of the void. Then came ripples of written pages, filled with truths and falsities of lost loves, forgotten fools, and followed sages. The only way out was to submerge the darkest depths, for all was illusion. It was in that darkness, she would find her light; long sought happiness, inner peace, and strength she never knew she possessed.

The power within

I knew I shouldn’t have, but I did anyway; and much to my delight, it had no affect whatsoever. We really do have the power within to heal our selves and rise above that which we believed capable of destroying us ☮jill

There is a Path

there is a path

There is a path
Challenging and complex
That if we allow ourselves to follow
Will lead us to our dreams

Insecurity and confusion
Questions of capability
Searching for purpose
Create our hesitation

Though eager we may be
To discover what destiny awaits us
We stand at the crossroads
Instead of moving forward joyously

The universe holds our plans
Eclipsing our greatest dreams
Aware of our quests
And best formulated plans

Ever watching over us
All we must do is believe
Our fate will provide
Guiding our journey of ambition

Ready to care
Always for our needs
But this attention so loving
Is not mere chance or coincidence

Nothing happens without purpose
Everything happens for a reason
Yet fear and ego are the destroyers
Possessing their own perception

Preventing profound lessons
Labeled mistakes creating conflict
Hindering growth and progress
Of our personal evolution

At the first sign of faith
The universe will propel us
Forward toward our goals
In its unstoppable current

We only need believe
We only need trust
We only need faith

And Thy Will
Shall be done

We each hold the key

we each hold the key

If the power were within us
to travel worlds outside our own
to learn the secrets
that lie beyond the grave
how many of us
would make the journey

If the truth of our existence
could be found within the depths
of our own untapped minds
how deep would we go to find it

What hidden doors
would we willingly open
eagerly walk through
not knowing what shadows
might lurk on the other side

If we knew for certain
the answers could be found there

The mind knows no limits
the heart has no boundaries
and the soul is capable of soaring
the endless heights of infinity

The truth exists within us all
we need only find the key
that unlocks the door
and sets it free –

STILL RUNNING

So many years
Lifetimes it seems
So much muddy water
Under those burnt
Forgotten bridges

Modus operandi
Fly in like the wind
Come and go
Completely unknown

This time different
Everything shifted
Perspective
Perception
Observing
With intent

Everywhere I go
Round every corner
No longer hidden
Painful haunting ghosts

Feeling a stranger
In a place too well known
Then appearing from nowhere
Making their presence known

The doe and the stag
Red tail hawk soaring
Within that magic hour
As if welcoming me home

But even though I’m reminded
Of people here that love me
This is far from my world
No longer my home

In a few short days
Will ride the wind again
Bask in southern sunshine
Search for sanctity resumes

Memory Holes

Tunnel

My mission was clear, determined in the hours preceding my slumber. A journey must be made in order to obtain the necessary information to formulate my plot. And so under the cloak of darkness, when my body and mind were at rest and the door to world’s unknown lay open and waiting, my spirit took flight and magically passed through.

Preparation of meditation and cleansing are no longer necessary for me, as once they were. I simply bring to the forefront of my thinking that a journey is required, and once I reach a plateau of unconsciousness where my spirit is able to detach itself, it does so eagerly and without pause. As if triggering a mechanism, all that I see, hear, feel, taste and touch are recorded in the memory banks of my mind; for future extraction upon reentry of my spirit.

Astral flight, astral projection, out-of-body experience; call it what you will, the process is the same, though the outcome widely varies. Normally, there is a clear and decisive reason for these journeys; as the answer to a question or solution to a problem is sought. This time, however, I left myself wide open with no particular question or problem, just the need and want to visit a dimension I had never before traveled, in order to capture and create from whence I had come.

I was not disappointed, but I was however distressed and somewhat traumatized by the experience. It was as if I was being led, instead of traveling of my own free will, and the one doing the leading had a specific reason for taking me there. The reason was to reacquaint me with my sin. The destination was HELL!

The corridor was long and dark, with hard-packed dirt floors and walls of rock that were high and arched; like the tunnels they dig through mountains, only there was no end in sight.

As I was led through the center of the tunnel, glass-fronted rooms lined either side. In each room, or life-size box as I came to think of them, was a specific scene from my life; scenes of sin that I had forced myself to forget; filing them away in the deepest recesses of my mind, where I was certain they would stay locked. Suddenly, and without warning, forced to relive each and every one.

To stand outside the box and watch, grateful when the show was over and the box went dark; only to turn and see the miles and miles of sin that lay ahead; sin that I must now suffer; as no thought, regard or consideration was given at the time.

The dread I felt, at the prospect of having to suffer so many, pales in comparison to the shame, regret and repulsion I felt; as I watched myself commit one deadly sin after another.

I begged for mercy, but mercy was not given; for this is death at its inception and what each and every one of us must go through. While the decision has already been made, the process by which it was determined is played out for us; right before our eyes, in the form of our lives.

“Be certain that your sins will find you out.”
Numbers 32:23

Absinthe Wishes and Lithium Dreams

absinthe-wishes

He wanders aimlessly through worlds of destruction; mist colored mountains, too blinded to see. A victim of self-induced misfortune, an inflicter of pain. Endless. Eternal. Walking through the flames, wearing the scars like badges of honor; baptisms of fire consecrated in vain.

Infinite lifetimes spent. Second-hand knowledge attained. Wasted on this tortured mind; soul hollowed eons ago. A teacher to some perhaps, but no man of genius as once she believed. Prostituting his suffering for personal gain; unwilling to succumb to sanity’s necessity.

Eager to believe his revelations; as if he, a mere mortal, born with transcendent faculties; innate knowledge awarded by God. A favored soul having lived a longer time. Acquired more. Progressed further. Ordained and reincarnated at the desire of God; to aide the progress of mankind; or at the very least, the twin of her flame; to continue the journey, on the path by her side.

A monster disguised as her own personal savior; a wanton demon, this King of the Damned. Driven now by the voice in his head, whispering night and day; pushing him further, closer to the edge. “Burn the pages, take your bow; sweet surrender in dawns early hour.”

Fare thee well; to you, Dark Prince; on your voyage, your final affair. Role fulfilled, as it was written; take heed in the knowing; until we meet again…
