QUOTE OF THE DAY

“There is much pain that is quite noiseless; and vibrations that make human agonies are often a mere whisper in the roar of hurrying existence. There are glances of hatred that stab and raise no cry of murder; robberies that leave man or woman for ever beggared of peace and joy, yet kept secret by the sufferer; committed to no sound except that of low moans in the night, seen in no writing except that made on the face by the slow months of suppressed anguish and early morning tears. Many an inherited sorrow that has marred a life has been breathed into no human ear.”

George Eliot? That dude is an idiot!

George Eliot is neither dude nor idiot!

George Eliot is the nom de plume of English novelist, Mary Anne Evans; one of the most successful authors of the Victorian era, who chose to take a male pen name so that her works would be taken seriously.

Fairly fucking brilliant if you ask me…

Wait….whoah….what? Are you saying he was a transvestite too?

I believe the George the Idiot that you’re referring to is G.W.Bush… not Eliot.

Ahh, clever. I see what you did there. A little switcheroo with the George’s. VERY clever. And topical too. He was president as recently as 2 and a half years ago. Did you think of that yourself or do you have a staff of professional writers at your disposal to type up witty comments on blogs? The crew at The Daily Show perhaps? Or maybe the Joy Behar Show?
